About

I take products from an empty repo to people’s hands. A fitness app with its own backend, a point-of-sale platform running restaurant chains, an accounting system that works with no internet, an MQTT broker the Dart ecosystem was missing.

Six years in, the stack has never been the point. I have shipped Flutter, .NET, NestJS, Node.js and React in production, and I pick whatever gets a reliable product out the door. What stays constant is the hard part I like: real-time communication, offline-first sync, and systems that keep running when nobody is watching.

Currently Senior Software Engineer at POSBANK in Cairo. Before that I owned architecture for 10+ client apps at Jabal Soft and taught mobile development to 200+ university students. Google Solution Challenge Top 10 in MENA, 2021.

Cloud point-of-sale and multi-branch restaurant management, at POSBANK.

  • Led the management app end to end: real-time reporting, inventory, sales.

POSBANK ME

Senior Software Engineer · Cairo, hybrid · promoted Sep 2023

  • Led end-to-end development of POPs Management, the app running multi-branch restaurant operations with real-time reporting and inventory.
  • Architected a distributed WebSocket service between POS terminals and the cloud. It replaced polling and took cost and latency down with it.
  • Designed backend pipelines with microservices, CQRS and event sourcing; added monitoring, alerting and self-recovery.
  • Shipped REST and GraphQL APIs used across restaurant chains.
